Aiming to go back-to-back

RAM Motorsport will be aiming for back-to-back round wins in both the Pro and Pro-Am Carrera Cup classes when the championship heads to Mount Panorama for Round 6 this weekend.

Dylan O’Keeffe scored RAM Motorsport’s first Pro Class round win at Sandown, while Dean Cook achieved his second Pro-Am round win of the season.

The results were beneficial for both drivers’ title campaigns, with O’Keeffe vaulting up to fifth in the Pro standings, while Cook moved up to second on the Pro-Am leaderboard, just a handful of points away from the lead.

"After such a difficult first half of the season, I was starting to accept my Carrera Cup championship chances were gone, but the Sandown round has put me right back in the gam. This weekend at Bathurst, the championship leader Callum Hedge isn't racing due to a clash with other commitments, so I have the chance to make up some more ground in the standings," O’Keeffe said.

Practice for the Bathurst 1000 commences on Thursday. The Thursday and Friday action will be shown on Fox Sports and Kayo, will the Saturday and Sunday coverage will also be broadcast on Channel 7.
